He started working in construction during the summer at age 15. He continued working in construction and attended night school for accounting and completed a 2 year course. Still construction appealed to him. He got a full time job in construction and worked till 1962. He then started his own building business and has been building homes for 55 years.
He has built developments in East Allen Twp., Moore twp. Northhampton, Catasaqua and Whitehall. All of his developments were designed by him, this made most homes different and customized to the lot they were placed on. Take a drive through one of his developments and you will see exactly what I mean.
Whitehall is a growing area and he has 5 single family lots still available close to McArthur road and shopping malls, etc.
Now he is developing an area of Emerald, Pa. at Country Mountain Farms, a small community with a view of the Blue Mountains. A short distance south of Slatington, Pa.
All improvements are finished with Water and Sewer pipes, road blacktopped and utilities, available are twin homes, townhouses, and lots for single homes. We have 1 twin available and finished and 1 just about finished. There are 4 townhouses occupied, 8 twin homes occupied.
In the past, he has built commercial properties and renovations of homes and also built a dam. He was active Lehigh Valley Home Builders for many years and was president. He was also State Rep and National rep. He also was president of the rotary club Northampton.
